Easter Series 2022

John 20:1-18 | All Things New | Easter 2022

Easter celebrates the triumph of God in a world full of confusion and grief. Mary’s visit to the tomb begins in darkness and is filled with confusion. Jesus’ gracious and tender response to Mary leads her to understand that He is making everything new. Our broken relationships and fragmented world will be renewed through the resurrection of Jesus from the grave.

4.10.22 | The Coming of the King | John 12:1-19

Palm Sunday celebrates the coming of Jesus to the place where he would reign as King. But Jesus’ kingship would subvert everyone’s expectations. Jesus would come as a king who came to humbly serve and ultimately lay down his life for his people. The only fitting response to our king is the extravagant worship and sacrifice modeled by Mary.
