The Gims in Cambodia

John, Carol, and Nico Gim are missionaries who are part of the MTW Cambodia team. Together, they are supporting the local church planting efforts through mentoring and discipleship. With a background as a ruling elder in the PCA and a career in corporate, John will be walking alongside young adults to mentor them in their spiritual growth, careers, and marriages, as well as helping to train ruling elders for the churches. With her experience in supportive ministry roles, Carol will be providing mentorship for lay leaders in the church with a focus on children's and worship ministry.

RCC Praise Team.  The Lord has provided opportunities for us to serve in this area of need at our local church.  John has been teaching the praise team how to mix sound while Carol has been working with the vocalists.

Business as Missions Ministry (BAM)  June 11th seminar. Core group of bivocational pastors and small business owners continue to meet with John.

Khmer Traditional Dance.  RCC recently started a Christian dance ministry.  Nico has been learning for the past month and is really enjoying himself!

Orchea and his family. His wife Sophear, daughter Haratey, and son Aura.

Summer Internship. In mid-June, Christian Kim (a recent college graduate who grew up as an MK on our team) volunteered for a 1-week internship with John and BAM ministries.  We're thankful for his help on a few projects.

Asia Pacific Area Retreat. July 9- July 15.  Every 4 years, MTW missionaries from East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Australasia attend this conference together. Carol had the opportunity to share her testimony.

MTW Cambodia Team Retreat.  In early June, Pastor Richey who previously served in India, came and ministered to us.  It was truly a spiritually refreshing time.  Carol's first time leading worship for the team.

Short-Term Missions Team. What a blessing to see Harry again from Christ Central Church. Harry (in the center w/ 2 thumbs up) is a worship leader and we're thankful for the time he spent with Orchea and the RCC praise team.

The Worship Institute. Visit to one of Orchea's music classes.  Orchea (middle) teaching three high school students how to play a Khmer hymn.  His hope is that one day, these students will serve in worship ministry.
