INTIMATE COMMUNITY
Los Angeles is a city with millions of people commuting to distant places. It’s difficult in our diverse city to feel like we belong anywhere. Even worship at church can feel like being a spectator at a performance. The focus of our ministry this year is to become an intimate community where we can be personally known by God and by others. Our hope is to grow closer to the heart of God and closer to the heart of others. Join us this year as we grow into this beautiful and diverse community.
LIGHT IN THE MIDST OF DARKNESS
We live in a world full of darkness, division and uncertainty. In midst of all these great problems, Advent is a bright light that declares the hopeful reality of God’s gracious intervention. Advent is a season to look up, wonder and rest in God’s miraculous grace. Join us as we discover this great light in midst of darkness.
LIAR, LIAR
Jacob was a cheat, a thief, and a man on the run. But through all his wild wanderings God was always in pursuit of him. Jacob’s story is how God can use anyone and use anything to extend his kingdom. Jacob’s life teaches us about God’s magnificent grace to the broken man in all of us.
THE UPSIDE DOWN KINGDOM
What does it look like to be a follower of Jesus today? Many people think it means a life of endless morality or a judgmental spirit. But Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount shows us a radically different and refreshing dynamic. Jesus teaches us how to live a life of simplicity and spirituality in a chaotic and superficial world. Instead of telling his followers to judge others, he encourages them to live a life of radical love. In a world of endless deadlines, he encourages us to live without worry. Join us as we learn about a whole new way to live and experience the Kingdom of God.
